trekking out of thimpu

on our third morning, we loaded up onto the bus, and drove to the far end f the thimpu valley, and started up the hills. our trust bus took us as far as it could, and then we met up with one of the pack horses. we loaded up our personal gear for the night, said goodbye to the bus and out driver... then started hiking up the road. 

 we passed a few farmhouses (gorgeous homes and locations!), and finally met up with the rest of the horses and our trek crew (2 horsemen, a cook, and 2 assistants). they had all the gear for our overnight on the pass, lined up and ready to load onto the horses... all we had to carry was our day gear and water. definitely feel pretty fancy!
