Palatschinken for dessert

Good thing we enjoyed a yummie crepe with ice cream and hot
berries...little did we know that we would be unable to find our tram
stop and walk half-way home. Safely made it, and two hours later our
daily blog is now done. Not a single postcard written yet, though. Na
shledanou!

A well-deserved PIVO!

We finally found the perfect Dinner Spot on Vejvodova where es enjoyed
a few lovely liters of malty dark beer.

Winding down, and phone battery dying!

Toured, and explored... We were pretty saturated by early evening.
Walked through the Jewish quarter, along the waterfront, and through
endless shopping districts.

Next immediate mission, a quaint place for dinner and drinks!! Boy
were my feet tired.

Another view of old town square

"Patriotic" matryoshka

A little new england girl
Tribute at at astrological clock on a Sunday afternoon.

P.s. Also known as Rachel's birthday present! :)

Bringing in the hour of 5pm

Death turns the hourglass, and rings a bell... While apostles do a
little dance in the upper windows. Astrological clock us quite the
tourist affair!

Afternoon rest at the grand cafe Praha

Also known as another stomping ground of Kafka, and directly across
the lane from the astrological clock.

Old town square

By now a little tour-wary, we settled in at a little cafe for some
soup and a brew.

Souvenir shops galore!

The main road leading from the bridge into old town is swarmed with
tourists (yes, we fit right in!)... And kitschy stores. This one was a
"unique" collection of "matryoshka", traditional European wooden
nested dolls.

Random bunch of ferraris a d maseratis driving down the cobblestone street?!

The "little quarter" on the way to Charles bridge

Pause.

A little rejuvenation in the form of gelato and expersso.... And we
rolled down the hill from palace towards the St. Charles bridge.

Audio tour talking point #49...

And this concludes the audio tour portion of our day!

A little saturated by palace history, Jana is smiling cuz we have
finally reached the last of the audio tour. Only took us 3+ hours.
Woah. Very worth it, but exhausting none the less.

Second castle courtyard

Of course there is a dungeon in a castle!

Yes, my excitement was a little over zealous for a torture chamber...
But Jana loves this pic. Ha.
