I am surprised at the beauty of hamburg with rivers and lakes all
around. Not sure what I pictured, but didn't have a city sculpted by
water in mind.

Hamburg is also known for killer geese!
Hamburg's Killer Geese Noah mentions are actually beautiful swans floating on the water...but, yes, they might go for your picknick rolls while lolligagging by the waterfront...

About my Hamburg BRIDGES factoid: Hamburg has over 2,400 bridges, about 800 more than Amsterdan (~1,200) and Venice (~400) combined.
So maybe I should say: More than Amsterdam, Venice and San Francisco combined...?!
