Never conquered, never under siege

The intricate system of gates, tar and oil contraptions, bombs and
bridges made Koenigstein the refuge for many regimes and their loot:
polish and Saxonian kings, Napoleon, the Nazis (for American POWs) and
Soviets (as a war hospital).
