the monestary is basically a boarding school for the boys, and it is amazing the amount of freedom they have between prayers and studies. and by freedom, I mean there is no one supervising these kids... they play, and instantly turn into little boys doing king fu and beating the crap out of each other. there is definitely protectiveness for each other, but they are never told "don't do this, don't do that".
